PC(USA) Calls For Jihad Against ICE
Listen
This is the Wilmington Standard Daily Update for Friday January 30th, 2026.
The Presbyterian Church in the USA – PC(USA) for short – has demonstrated once again they are no longer really a church – but a religious arm of the radical left. Earlier this week they released a statement entitled Action Alert: Lawless Law Enforcement and the Militarization of ICE. With “heavy hearts and outraged spirits” they are urging the faithful all across the land “to resist government policies that harm immigrant communities.”
Using a passage taken out of context from the Book of Isaiah, the Presbyterians – of which the editor of this publication has been a lifelong member – has now effectively raised the outrage, violence and lawlessness of the out of control left to the next level.
Congratulations to the PC(USA) – you have now created a jihad.
There are a plethora of replies and rebuttals to their statement. Romans 13 and I Peter 2 stand out among them telling people of faith to follow the laws of the land. Or Matthew 5:9, where peacemaking – not rioting – is blessed. Or perhaps Exodus 20 – and the rest of the Pentateuch – where God lays out the laws of the land – and the penalties for breaking those laws.
But none of that matters to these mainline Presbyterians – because they threw out the authority of Scripture years ago. They only bring it out to carelessly pick verses out of the Bible that support their very liberal agenda. Try as they might, an organization that normalizes homosexual marriage, transgenderism, and radical social justice issues – all in the name of a type of Jesus nowhere found in Scripture - is clearly not a church that can help its members navigate through any cultural issue today. They are not the beacon or the standard of a Christian response to what is happening in Minneapolis and across the land to federal agents carrying out the laws of our country.
The PC(USA) is sinking like the millstone it is – and unfortunately dragging others down with it. This denomination once stood as a major lighthouse to the in the turbulent seas of culture. Now, it is a simply a dangerous reef that needs to be avoided – and ultimately ignored.
