Democrats Choose Illegals Over Child Safety And Why It Matters in North Carolina
Listen
Episode summary:
Fairfax County, Virginia released an illegal immigrant accused of raping a child—despite ICE requesting a detainer—because of sanctuary policies. This is the Democrat Party now running candidates across North Carolina, from Roy Cooper for U.S. Senate to local Board of Education races. No North Carolina Democrat has condemned this release, because open borders and sanctuary policies are central to their platform regardless of the consequences to children. If you've voted Democrat before, it's time for some serious soul-searching about what that party actually stands for.

What You Can Do
Virginia's failure to protect children shows what happens when sanctuary policies override common sense and law enforcement cooperation. North Carolina voters need to ask every Democrat candidate—from Roy Cooper down to local Board of Education races—where they stand on sanctuary policies and whether they'll prioritize illegal immigrants over child safety. Your vote determines whether North Carolina follows Virginia's path or stands firm on border enforcement and accountability.

You really have some soul searching to do.
This is the Wilmington Standard Daily Update for Wednesday, April 6 2026
Walvin Victor Hugo Garcia has been arrested by ICE in Virginia for being in our country illegally. That was after he had been arrested by Fairfax County on rape and sexual battery of a child, arraigned, and allowed to leave the courtroom on his own. The Department of Homeland Security had asked Fairfax County to put a detainer on Mr. Garcia, but their sanctuary policies took precedence and they released him. Thankfully ICE was able to slap the chains on Walvin just as he was leaving the courthouse – all without help from Fairfax County.
None of this would be news of course if the Democrat Governor and the sanctuary politicians – who are also Democrats – would follow the law of our country and work with the immigration agencies to make sure illegal immigrants who commit crimes – in addition of course of the crime of being here in the first place -are arrested and deported. But the Democrats won’t – because they care more about the illegal immigrants than the children they – and every responsible adult – are supposed to protect.
This is the Democrat party. This is the party of Roy Cooper who wants to speak for North Carolinians in the United States Senate. This is the party of Tim Merrick, who wants to speak for New Hanover County in our state Senate. This is the party of Rob Zapple and LeShonda Wallace who think they have the moral right to govern our county. And the Democrat Party that thinks it is ok to release illegal immigrants who rape children is the same party of Brittnei LaRue, Wendy Dale, Jerry Jones, and Margie Gerwirtzman who are running for the Board of Education. No Democrat in North Carolina has condemned Fairfax county nor the governor of Virginia for letting Mr. Garcia go. They cannot – because it is the policy of the Democrat party to destroy our borders and allow as many immigrants in our country as possible – regardless as to whether they prey on children or not. Every Democrat candidate – no matter the government level – is part and parcel of this philosophy.
If you have voted for Democrats in the past, you have a deep moral decision to make in the upcoming elections. Will you turn a blind eye to these horrific crimes and continue to support a party that does not want any accountability for these criminals – all because you think Orange Man Bad? Or will you finally wake up and see that Democrats could not care less about you or the welfare of your family – they just want your vote and the power that goes along with it.
